The Casa E. San José de El Escorial is located on a lovely site in the Sierra de Guadarrama mountains, and is approximately 45 km from the centre of Madrid.  The Casa was built in the 1960s, on land occupied by an old seminary. It now operates as both a place of religious retreat and as a conference centre.

The Casa E. San José is a residential facility, so that all who attend ESVG 2019 can stay and eat all meals on-site.

The Casa E. San José will be an ideal setting for the ESVG 2019. The Casa is a spacious facility with attractive classrooms and large gardens.  There is free parking for those coming by car.
The official street address is: Av. de los Reyes Católicos, 12, 28280 El Escorial, Madrid, Spain

The Casa E. San José is a little over 1 km from the UNESCO World-heritage designated Monasterio de El Escorial, to which it is connected by a pleasant pedestrian promenade.  A visit to the Monasterio is highly recommended, but please note that it is closed on Monday.

The famous Casita del Príncipe  (Prince's cottage) is less that 1 km away from the Casa.

A pharmacy Farmacia Lopez-Asiain Castaño is located about 100 metres from the Casa, and the Hospital El Escorial is about 3 km away (5 minutes by car) and has 24 hour service.
